Condolence From: Alexander Cokonis
Condolence: TY was our guardian and boss. I worked with him in two companies and through his recommendations I was able to work for 44 years in one company and finally retire. He was our father and always protected us. I wanted to see him when we gathered with our friends but God took him too soon. I am in Florida and I will miss his funeral. My deepest condolences to his family.

Condolence From: Shaw-Lei Yu 余啸雷
Condolence: Dear Family Members of Tsu Yao:

Tsu Yao and I were 10-yr classmates, which is a bit unusual:
6 years at 师大附中and 4 more years at 台大土木 Class of 1961.

Tsu and I were not that close. However, I remember so vividly until this day that, when I had some personal problems years ago in the 1970's, he was there talking to me, firmly yet very gently, voicing his disapproval. Yet the strongest words he threw at me were "you are sophisticated". Twenty years later he came to visit me in Taipei when I was guest-lecturing. No blaming me and criticizing me at all but only "good-old" friendly chats.

Tsu Yao was a kind, ever soft-spoken gentleman. I will miss him. While we celebrate his life today, I want to present the lyrics below from Stephen Foster to show how I am feeling now:
