Obituary for Edward F. Podolak

Edward F. Podolak
PODOLAK, Edward F. On January 17th, 2018. Of Marlton, NJ. Age 66. Devoted husband of the late Barbara Podolak (nee Grow). Loving father of Jennifer Cline and her husband Randy and Jeff Podolak. Caring grandfather of Emmett John Cline. Dear brother of Ken and his wife Elaine Podolak.
Ed graduated from Cherry Hill West in 1969 where he played football as an offensive lineman and place kicker; he was inducted into the Athlete Hall of Fame. He graduated in 1973 from Ursinus College and was a call center manager at Spiegel and project manager at Oki Data. Ed earned his Eagle Scout from Troop 101 in Pennsauken and served for many years as the transportation coordinator for Troop 49 in Marlton.
He loved his shore trips especially those that included a stop at the casinos with his wife Barbara. He also enjoyed surfing, driving, shopping, diners, Motown and 60’s music, walking his dog Maggie, and was a four for four Philly sports fan, especially the Eagles. He was known as "The Senator" when he contributed to the Knights Sports Productions online sports radio podcast and more recently was a part of the Holman Auto Group at BMW of Mt. Laurel. He loved to keep busy with various unique and creative "projects". He cherished every moment he spent with his grandson, Emmett. Ed will forever be remembered for his social nature and lighthearted sense of humor.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Monday January 22nd from 4-7 PM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt.73 and Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. A memorial service will be held 7 PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Boy Scouts of America Troop 49, PO Box 364, Marlton, NJ 08053.
