Obituary for Donald Fisher

Donald Fisher
FISHER, Donald L., on January 2, 2018, of Mt. Laurel NJ, formerly of Pennsauken, age 79. Dearly beloved husband of Judith E. Fisher (nee Stiver). Loving father of Duane Fisher, Douglas and Lynda Fisher and Dianne and Scott Yoncak. He was an extremely proud grandfather to his grandchildren, Ryan and his wife, Carey, Kyle, Justin, Colin, Tyler, Trey, Jessica, Jayme, Brett, Braeden and Hannah and great grandson, Jesse. Dear brother of Gail Fisher and her husband, Don. He is also survived by many other special friends and close relatives. Don is the son of the late Lawrence and Helen (nee Steiner) Fisher.

Don worked for 20 years for the State of NJ. He was extremely active in life and had a long successful career pitching in the Fundamental Church Softball League and other venues. He also will be long remembered for seeking out his favorite lighthouses across the country on his motorcycle. "The measure of a man is not how tall he stands, how wealthy or intelligent he is...the measure of man God knows and understands for He looks inside to his heart..." Don was immeasurable...his faith, his contagious smile, sense of humor, his artistic and musical abilities and most of all, his true devotion to God and the people he loved. He savored the times he and Judy spent with their grandchildren following their endeavors. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held at Hope United Methodist Church 700 Cooper Road, Voorhees, NJ 08043 on Saturday January 13th, 2018 from 6-7:30pm. A Memorial Service will be held immediately following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don's memory to the Alzheimer's Association 399 Market St #102, Philadelphia, PA 19106 www.alz.org/delval/
