Obituary for Harold J. Rupert

Harold J.  Rupert
HAROLD JOSEPH RUPERT, born August 12, 1929, beloved husband to Elizabeth for 61 years, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2017. Beloved father of Patrick Rupert (Suzanne); Marcella McCarthy; Mary Beth Artuso (Joseph); Thomas Rupert; Kathleen Rupert; Joseph Rupert (Laura); and Daniel Rupert (Dana). “Pop-Pop” was grandfather to 14 and Great-Grandfather of 7. Harold was a graduate of St. John’s of St. John the Baptist High School in Manayunk, and Rutgers University, School of Environmental Engineering, was employed by the State of New Jersey for most of his life. An avid Phillies fan, he coached and mentored multiple activities that included: CYO, Knights of Columbus and other civic activities. Harold also was known to enjoy a good “Manhattan”. A visitation will be held at Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 and Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ on Tuesday, September 12th from 6:00-8:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 8:00-9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Wednesday September 13th at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 2500 Branch Pike, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Samaritan Hospice for their professional care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that an act of kindness or a gift to your favorite charity be made in his name.
