Obituary for Alan Koch

Alan Koch
Alan Paxton Koch, 61, of Washington Township, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Son of Henry and Marie Koch (deceased). Step-son of Patty Koch, brother of Robert (deceased), and Robin. Best friend and husband of David Benyak. Loving uncle and friend to many.
Alan graduated from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, with a degree in Landscape Architecture. He went on to become the Landscape Architect for the County of Gloucester for over 35 years. He left a legacy of beautiful architectural design throughout South Jersey and beyond, including park and playground designs. He loved gardening, traveling and movies.
He also was Vice President and President of the South Jersey AIDS Coalition and chaired many fundraisers to support those affected by the disease.
Alan was known for his wit, laughter, loyalty and friendship. He will be sadly missed by everyone that loved him.
Services and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Abramson Cancer Center at WWW.PennMedicine.org/giving.
